Are today's celebrities fleet of foot or do they have two flat feet? |
As some of the "stars" also come with oversize egos it's interesting to watch what happens when the ego contacts the reality of learning a skill that takes physical stamina, precise body movements, accurate timing and at the same time trying to look like it's fun. Then, as the show progresses, we watch the change in some "stars" as the fun really does begin. There are also the "stars" they never seem to have fun even by the end of the show. Maybe if they had a chance to come to our Sunday dance instead.....
Another interesting item I picked up is when they get to dance the last dance at the end of the competition. Even the better ones don't seem to be able to handle a "lead & follow" social dance. Do the "Stars" really learn to dance or do they just learn a routine?
And do we need to mention the real lack of the viewers ability to decide who is ok and who is not!
If all this was not enough we may even watch the tape over and try out a few neat patterns. Who are the choreographers? Is there someone hidden out there? Do the pros come up with the routines? Some are darn good while others are a real stretch.
Did anyone notice the ban on lifts? And, how about the change this season to more compatible dance wear. It looks like someone running things is attempting to balance between show time and dance reality.
Now, let's see them add WCS, Hustle and Two-Step! We can't wait for the third season....

Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might as well
dance.

Practice the easy way at our Sunday night dance. We couldn't think of
a better way to reinforce those lessons! Come early, and you can get a
half-hour of whole-floor practice, while we are getting ready for the dance
lesson. After the dance, we don't mind if you hang around and practice
while we clean up and close up the studio.
