About our Sunday Night Social Dance

You have reached the right place for information on couples dancing in the area.
We teach, perform and host dance events featuring all Ballroom, Swing,
Country-Western and Latin dance styles. These include both American and
International styles of dance. You will find at our social dances: Foxtrot,
Quickstep, Waltz, Tango, Argentine Tango, Viennese Waltz, Bolero, Rumba,
Cha-Cha, Salsa, Mambo, Meringue, Samba, Single Time Swing (Jitterbug), Lindy,
Jive, ECS (East Coast Swing), WCS (West Coast Swing) Hustle (Disco), Country
2-Step, Night Club Two-step (NC2), Triple Two Step (T2S), Polka, Schottische,
Cowboy Cha-Cha, Barn Dance (Wagon Wheel) as well as some line dancing. Our Group
and Private lessons also feature all styles of couples dance.

Our goal at Two Step Tidewater, Inc. is to get more people out dancing instead of sitting home watching TV. By offering our Sunday night Social dance, which is open to the public dancers or not, we are giving people a chance to not only enjoy a night out but to also learn how to dance. Our lessons are all geared toward the beginner. We usually teach the dances that are easier to learn such as the Latin dances, Rumba, Cha-Cha and Salsa, the ballroom dances such at Foxtrot, Tango and Waltz, the Country Western Dances such as 2-Step, Night Club 2-step and Triple Two Step and the Swing/Rhythm dances such as East Coast Swing (ECS) and Hustle (Disco).
One Sunday we seldom teach teach the dances that are more difficult for beginners such as Argentine Tango, Quickstep, Polka, West Cast Swing (WCS) Bolero and Viennese Waltz. If you are interested in one of those dance please check our Group Class Schedule. It changes Monthly.
The cost of admission to our dance is far more reasonable that the admission to a movie or concert where all you get to do is watch. By attending our Sunday Social Dance you get the chance to participate as well.
