~~~ About "DanceSportVa" - The DanceSportVa studio is located on Arrowhead Drive between Princess Anne and Newtown Rd. From the Expressway take an exit onto Newtown Road South, turn left on Princess Anne then Right onto Arrowhead just past Big Al's muffler. The parking lot is not large but there are plenty of nearby business with parking room at night and on Sundays.  One, very convenient parking area is in front of the small "strip mall" which fronts on Princess Anne, only a hundred feet or so from the studio, on Arrowhead.

The studio has a large (3000 sq ft) dance floor as well as a separate smaller (2000 sq ft) dance floor. It is a very clean, well maintained studio. They also have dance shoes and apparel for sale. They have a very good Air Conditioning system. The DanceSportVa staff has been very supportive of us and will make everyone feel welcome. We have been assured that we can have Sunday night without interruption throughout the year. We hope everyone who has enjoyed the social dance on Sunday will continue to attend.

Dancing this week around Southeastern Virginia

There are many dancing activities available all during the week and far too many to list each week. Please check the links here and the links listed on our web site Two Step Tidewater Dance - links and other places to dance for many more places to dance. If your favorite local place is not listed it's because no one sent it to us. Please fix that problem by sending us the link and some basic information.

~~Every Sunday - Dance at Two Step Tidewater Dance,  at "Dancesport VA dance studio" 6:30 pm to 10 pm - Walter & Judy's social dance  party - We are having a group dance  lesson prior to our Sunday Social Dance beginning with a FREE beginner dance lesson group class at 6:30. At 7:00, we begin the party with a mix of Ballroom, Swing, Latin and Country Western. Refreshments served $8.00/ per person Call 483-9410 for information.  Come early, come late but come out and take advantage of our social dance. $8.00 includes all. We are going to try more line dance toward the end of the dance. Bring your favorite music 'cause all my line dance music is OLD!

~~Every Wednesday at DanceSportVa .  Two Step Tidewater Virginia presents weekly $40 per 4 week series. A partner is required. These classes are taught by both Walter & Judy Schultz working as a team together.

~~Every Thursday - USA Dance Williamsburg Virginia Weekly training session.  Three lessons, 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM. - Social for Beginners -Offered by the Williamsburg Chapter of the United States Dance, Inc (USA Dance) 757-565-0032 Have fun and learn to dance -- singles or couples; no partner necessary $ 50 per person, per session - $40 for member ( A session is one, 1 hour lesson, each week for five (5) weeks For couples there will be a discount allowed, also a discount if you want to take both lessons)

~~ Every Saturday - The Local West Coast Swing Dancers sometimes get together on the Peninsula at Trebeca (Formerly Mitty's) in the Omni Hotel at I-64 and Rt 17. The hours are about 7-9 pm. ~~ Every Sunday - Roberto USUALLY (Click to check it out - sometimes they cancel)  plays for dancing at Ft. Monroe Officers Club Sunday Brunch Dance. 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Ph. 788-5656 Fort Monroe, Hampton VA (Old Town Phoebus) - (Click for a map to Ft. Monroe in Hampton Va (Phoebus VA)).  Some fantastic deal!  You pay for the dancing, and they give you the brunch and champagne for free - OR - you can pay for the Champagne-Brunch, and dance for free... Come early, the buffet sometimes gets a little stale late in the day.  You can dance off the meal, and there will still be plenty of time to get from the buffet to our regular Sunday Two Step Tidewater Dance. Roberto sez, "I hope you will continue to support my return to Ft. Monroe on Sundays. All you need to get on the base is your drivers license and vehicle registration. No club membership is required. If you need a reservation feel free to e mail me or call the club."
